Instead of passively predicting, users prescribe the future by signaling YES or NO with SOL. These signals don't just reflect sentiment—they influence reality through community-driven consensus and market-making dynamics.

Markets on Referandium represent questions about the future. But unlike traditional systems, users don't place bets—they prescribe signals.

Binary Markets:

• Signal YES or NO with SOL

• Market closes at deadline, highest signal wins consensus

Multiple Choice Markets:

• Signal support for specific options
• Decentralized resolution mechanism
• Community consensus determines outcome

What are Gookies?

Gookies are NFT Market Managers inspired by traditional bookies (the house in gambling). But here's the twist: Gookies aren't sold—they're rented.

🍪 Gookie Fact: The name combines "Goo" (playful, crypto-native vibe) + "Bookie" (market operator).

How Gookie Auctions Work

1. Auction System

• Platform releases themed Gookies (e.g., "Fenerbahçe 2026 Transfers")
• Users bid SOL in a time-limited auction
• Highest bidder rents the Gookie until the market closes

2. Renter Powers & Profit

When you rent a Gookie, you become the Market Manager for that theme:

• Set market rules: Define YES/NO criteria or multiple choice options
• Promote your market: Shill on Twitter (X), Discord, or other platforms
• Drive volume: Earn prestige as trading volume increases
• Manage resolution: Oversee fair market settlement
• 💰 Earn commission: Receive a percentage of all trading volume in your market

⚠️ Important: You don't own the Gookie. You rent the management rights for a fixed period.

💰 Profit Model: Gookie renters earn 3-5% commission on total market volume. The more signals your market attracts, the more SOL you earn—on top of your rental refund!

3. Escrow, Refund & Commission Earnings

Auction Flow:
1. User bids 5 SOL for "Fenerbahçe Transfers" Gookie
2. SOL is escrowed in platform treasury (on-chain)
3. User manages market, attracts 100 SOL in trading volume
4. Market closes → Platform takes rental fee (10% = 0.5 SOL)
5. User earns volume commission (4% of 100 SOL = 4 SOL)
6. User receives: 4.5 SOL refund + 4 SOL commission = 8.5 SOL total
7. Net profit: 3.5 SOL (70% ROI on 5 SOL rental!)

This is not a sale. It's a refundable rental system with volume-based commission rewards.
